Q. What age is appropriate for the Fright Farm?

A. This is the most frequently asked question and is also the most difficult to answer. The Fright Farm is not recommended for children under 8-10 years of age. While the Fright Farm is not excessively gory, there are theatrical elements that make it very frightening. There are many dark areas, strobe lights and fog machines in use.  Actors will not intentionally touch the guests, however they may come very close.
We believe parents are the best judge of their children’s ability to handle a haunted house. If your child still has you check under their bed before they go to sleep at night, they probably aren’t ready for the Fright Farm.
A better option for younger kids is the “Low Scare” day. We turn up the lights and turn down the scare for this event. In 2007, the Low Scare was a smash hit with parents and kids alike. The low scare is offered during the day when ghosts are asleep. Check the home page for specific dates and times of the Low Scare.

Q. How long does it take to go through the Fright Farm?

A. It generally takes between 15 and 20 minutes to go through the Fright Farm. People have been known to get lost inside or simply freeze up, adding to the total time in the haunt.
Q. How long is the wait in line?

A. On a busy night the wait can be as long as one hour. While we hate to make people wait, we really hate to rush people through the haunt and diminish their experience. If you want to avoid the lines, we recommend you come early in the season or early in the night. If there is still a line at closing time, we will stay open until everyone makes it in.

Q. Do you have special rates for groups and non-profits?

A: Yes. Please contact us at the link provided in the home page.  (Click here to go to contact information) (Or Click here to just send an email)We will work with you to provide your group with a great night of entertainment at a reasonable rate.

Q. I would like to help out at the Fright Farm, is this possible?

A. We occasionally have volunteers from the community at large. We do not allow anyone under the age of 18 to work as an actor and all volunteers are subject to a background check. A majority of the cast and crew of the Fright Farm are 40 years old or older. Most have 10 or more years of experience working in a haunted house. Our greatest volunteer need is skilled people who can help with our extensive construction.
